•This position is responsible for driving negotiations and handling the commercial relationship with Travel suppliers in order to obtain unique benefits, competitive and profitable products & revenues for American Express and its franchisees offices.

Travel suppliers include airlines, hotel s, car rental, tour&cruises.

• The role requires working closely & effectively with Suppliers, operational areas, technical integration and marketing teams to develop & implement appropriate negotiations and solutions

• Through expert leadership as provider of supplier management solutions, follow and implement Global Supplier Relations policies and strategies, such as: Preferred Supplier Agreements; revenue components, Common Directions Plan; Preferred Extras Programs, ensuring negotiations to protect and maximize revenues

• Ensure the profitable retention and growth of existing relationships within suppliers and acquire new Suppliers to maximize network income

• Identify the travel needs and trends for business / leisure customers

-Strong organization and leadership skills; ability to influence without direct authority across areas of organization

-Proven negotiation skills

-Communication and presentation skills

-Analytical /strategic thinking essential

-Strong relationship building / relationship management experience with national and multinational suppliers/ clients..

- General business knowledge and understanding of Travel market tendencies and economics (min. 5 years of experience in the Travel industry)

-Ability to analyze information and implement processes and strategies to negotiate with suppliers

-Proven Financial acumen

- Excellent level of Microsoft Office applications

-Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish

-Ability to work under pressure, efficient project management

-Sence of urgency, multitasking

-University degree 

-Strong organization and leadership skills; ability to influence without direct authority across areas of organization

-Proven negotiation skills

-Communication and presentation skills
