Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Business Analyst to join GE Energy Services Commercial and Sales IT team to define new and efficient business process that will drive sales force effectiveness and commercial operational excellence. In this pivotal role you serve as a direct liaison to functional process owners in order to translate business requirements into functional specifications for assigned area project and maintenance work



This role shall:

*Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications;

*Assist the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how they are then integrated with other business and technical processes;

*Maintain functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned area's systems, organization, and business processes;

*Partner with the Energy Services ITO regional and HQ functional teams to identify and execute on opportunities for enhancements, standardization and simplification.

*Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness to deliver and support quality software projects.

*Follow GE Infrastructure Project Management Methodology (PMM) and tollgates; project management tools, software development and quality methodologies.

*Prepare and present work plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies and recommend design next steps.

*Influence and negotiate with end users, process owners, and suppliers



Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or Engineering or related field

*Minimum of one year of experience in business systems analysis and support, including working with all aspects of the systems or software development life cycle (requirements through implementation).

*At least three years of hands-on experience of leading and managing at least 2 full life cycle system implementations.

*At least one year of experience working with SDLC, RUP or PMBOK methodology.

*At least one year of experience working in a global environment with offshore teams

*Strong interpersonal skills;

*Excellent written and oral communication skills;

*Outstanding problem-solving skills;

*Ability to influence and negotiate with clients and suppliers;

*Proficient at operating within a globally distributed team;


Desired

*PMI PMP certification

*1+ year hands on Siebel experience

*Proven skills in design, analysis and interpretation of business needs.

*Green Belt Certified (GE Employees Only).

*Advanced certification.

*Previous experience in GE Energy or Aviation.

*Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques
