Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for managing IM software development projects for GE Energy - Energy Services, Sales and Commercial organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing software solutions based on business requirements through partnership with various business segments.



This role shall:

*Lead and manage high impact software development projects, including: project planning, budget and resource management, status communication, issue resolution, requirements gathering, solution design and implementation.

*Provide leadership and project level management in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, operation and control of Information Technology solutions for the Industrial Services organizations.

*Partner with the Energy Services ITO regional and HQ functional teams to identify and execute on opportunities for enhancements, standardization and simplification.

*Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness to deliver and support quality software projects.

*Manage supplier relationships to ensure ongoing delivery and operational support of high quality, cost effective solutions.

*Apply GE Infrastructure Project Management Methodology (PMM) and tollgates; project management tools, software development and quality methodologies.

*Prepare and present project plans, status reports, cost / benefit studies and recommend funding and resources.

*Manage, track and meet project financials.

*Own issue / risk identification, escalation, resolution and communication to functional and IM stakeholders



Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Sciences, or Engineering or related field

*Minimum of three years of experience in business systems analysis and support, including working with all aspects of the systems or software development life cycle (requirements through implementation).

*At least three years of hands-on experience of leading and managing at least 2 full life cycle system implementations.

*At least three years of experience working with SDLC, RUP or PMBOK methodology.

*At least three years of experience working in a global environment with offshore teams

*2+ years hands on Siebel experience

*Proven skills in design, analysis and interpretation of business needs.

*Outstanding project management skills.

*Green Belt or Black Belt Certified (GE Employees Only).

*IMLP Graduate (GE Employees Only).

*Advanced degree or certification.

*Previous experience in GE Energy or Aviation.

*Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques
