 We are looking for Oracle DBAs for our Mexico DC.

Locations:

Base location is Monterrey, N.L. with probable short /long term travels around the world. You will need to be adequately mobile and/or open to travel.

 Responsibilities:

 As an Oracle DBA, you could be working on one or more of the following:

• Map business requirements to technical architecture


• Work with vendors/liaisons for hardware sizing and capacity planning


• Evaluate products from Oracle and other vendors, plan and deploy them according to the technical architecture.


• Install, upgrade technology stack, apply CPU and other patches, and clone Oracle Database 9i/10g/11g, Oracle Applications E-business Suite 11i/R12, Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, Oracle Application Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware.


• Work with the management, design and implement a business continuity/disaster recovery plan.


• Perform backup and recovery between disks and tapes.


• Perform cold, online (hot), RMAN and BCV Storage Array-enabled backup, restore from it, and perform full or partial recovery as dictated by the situation (Disaster recovery/Clone).


• Deploy the above Oracle products in a RAC environment, and migrate from existing non-RAC environments on cooked file systems as well as ASM and RAW devices.


• Use appropriate ad-utilities to administer Oracle Applications E-Business Suite Instances.


• Have a thorough knowledge of scripting using Korn, BASH and Perl on Linux and UNIX flavors such as HP-UX 11i, IBM AIX 5L/6 and Sun Solaris 8/9/10.


• Write scripts to monitor various aspects of the instances such as user accesses, critical performance indicators such as Cache Hit Ratios, Memory, Cpu, IO and Network utilization, tablespace growth, full table scans, long operations, database locks, and deadlock detection, and also perform file system housekeeping.


• Use Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control to monitor and proactively detect potential performance and other issues in the entire IT infrastructure including hosts, databases, application servers, deployed web services and Oracle Applications.


• Proactively monitor and resolve performance issues with Self Service/Jserv, Apache, Forms, Concurrent Manager and Reports services.


• Trace database sessions, forms sessions, concurrent programs, and use TKprof to sort inefficient/sub-optimal activities and tune them.


• Use Explain Plan on SQL and use TRCA/Trace Analyzer, SQLTXPlain, Automatic  Databas
