Responsibilities

"- To coach staff juniors on the preparation of the financial statements.

- To actively participate on the hard close audit and final external audit process with the objective to ensure an unqualified opinion

- To prepare or review stat to gap files for the CoE Customers

- To provide different services related to Statutory Compliance for GE Businesses in Mexico

- To reconcile tax accounts upon request from the customers.

- To review different tax computations such as VAT, asset tax, income tax, withholding taxes, and so forth.

- To provide support to the businesses to give answer to tax requirements.

- To attend external audits for the COE customers and discuss adjustments if needed.

- To prepare general account reconciliations for CoE Customers upon request.

- To give follow up to all audit recommendations."



Qualifications

"- Solid local accounting and US Knowledge (D-4, FAS 109)

- Minimum 4 years of audit or accounting experience

- Experience coaching team members

- Communication skills in English and Spanish

- Previous experience in the preparation of financial statements and notes.

- Results oriented

- Manage tasks and ability to handle multiple priorities

- Self starter, proactive

- Controllership mindset

- Full availability

- Strong experience in managing excel, power point, word, etc"

The Statutory Center Of Excellence (STAT-COE) is a GBS division which provides accounting, controllership, reporting and compliance services (among others) to GE Companies. A large variety of customers is part of our scope, for example: Capital Group Regulated and Non-Regulated, NBC Universal, Infrastructure, Healthcare Division, etc. In order to be aligned with SOX404 rule, the external audit firm is not allowed to prepare the Financial Statements and notes. The Stat CoE is adding this preparation as new product which will be offer for GE companies accross Mexico. This position will report to the Financial Statements Manager and besides, this person will support to the Stat CoE on the performance of other Statutory Services.
