Responsibilities
Responsible for auditing balance sheet items and Factoring activities including: value of accounts receivables and/or payables to determine the value of an asset to be financed, including definition of the advance percentage. In addition, responsibilities include verifying the origination quality of the client's receivables, reviewing the client's internal controls as far as receivables are concerned, checking the status on fiscal and labor related debt and the general conditions of their liabilities.
* Determine the real value of accounts receivables and/or payables by evaluating the client's origination criteria, the quality of their internal controls and the portfolio's payment performance. Once this is completed, define a list of eligible debtors for factoring operations or to be used as additional guarantees.
* Propose conditions under which receivables would be susceptible for factoring operations: value of the receivable (advance percentage), document type, terms and amounts per debtor.
* Identify and determine the risks and conditions that must be solved prior to funding and/or at a definite time after funding so that Underwriting and Portfolio Management are able to follow up ("Issue Log").
* In monitoring audits, and in addition to actual physical visits to the client's facilities, validate and monitor internal processes within the GE operation (receiving documents, operations, and collections).
* Prevent money laundering activities and potential SOF problems.
* Identify potential cash and bank money deviations (frauds, cash flow, etc.).
* Propose options and suggestions on how clients can improve their processes and credit policies, in addition to improving the company's general internal controls.
* People management skills (small groups of about 3 to 4) performing audits, as well as controlling expense budgets assigned to each and all related expenses.
Qualifications
* Public accounting degree (local CPA degree), supervisor or managerial level with over 3 years of experience in Financial Auditing
* Problem solving and negotiation skills with clients
* English proficiency (80%).
Others: skills to detect irregular information patterns, a sense of urgency, energy, motivation, teamwork, independence, effective written and verbal skills.
