Responsibilities

Manages and directs a sales force responsible for the increased sales performance and profitability of Lighting and Electrical Products and Equipment to new and established Industrial customers. Establishes sales strategies and achieve sales goals relative to Industrial accounts, and establishes effective communications with appropriate executives and managers to ensure proper sensitivity to sales needs.This job requires broad knowledge of the company's products, services, policies relative to customers and knowledge of Industrial based on Key Accounts business model.



30% Manages the Industrial Sales Team to maximize sales revenues and meet business objectives:

* Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company's products.

* Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity.

* Directs professional account management activities.

* Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales. 30% Manages and develops sales and sales support staff:

* Manages personnel activities of staff (i.e. hires, trains, coaches, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, recommends termination as necessary, etc.).

* Educates sales unit in terms of sales tactics.

* Evaluates effectiveness of Sales Reps and Sales Engineers; recommends necessary changes. 20% Establishes and manages effective programs and seminars to address the following issues:

* New account sales and growth to base through sales force.

* Sales of emerging products and multi-product sales.

* Improved seminar presentations.

* Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales campaigns.

* Proper use and level of sales support.

* Management of expenses of the area at a reasonable level.

* Business/financial issues on contracts. 20% Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates projects.

Qualifications

Education and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering. Eight or more years of experience in product sales with at least two years of experience as Sales Manager. Specialized Knowledge and SkillsExcellent knowledge of company's products, software pricing practices, and selling skills. Effective management skills with ability to manage a major portion of the company's field sales operations. Excellent time management, communications, decision-making, human relations, presentation and organization skills. Professional appearance and presentation required. English language required.Equipment and ApplicationsPCs and various software applications. Heavy telephone usage.Work Environment and Physical DemandsGeneral office environment. Considerable stress may occur at times. Extensive travel required.
