TITLE


LA Channel Training, Certification and Marketing Communications Program Manager

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The
responsibilities for this position include identify new market
opportunities that can be captured through channels, develop programs
that attract new channels for Dell including processes, policies,
training and requirements. The scope of the position includes drive
strategic initiatives; support local tactical needs, and be the liaison
with Global Channels Organization for the development of Channel
Certification Programs. The ultimate objective of the job is to grow
Dell’s business through channels in accounts/territories not covered
directly by Dell.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 


  • Gather customer input from various sources (e.g., customer focus groups, market analysis firms).

  • Analyze existing industry certification programs.

  • Conduct market opportunity analysis, and participate in development of programs for channels.

  • Lead the Regional Channel content and material development and translation.

  • Lead the Channel Marketing Communication activities.

  • Identify potential partners to be recruited on each territory.

  • Coordinate partner qualification, evaluation and certification.

  • Local
    implementation of Global Channel Programs including the definition of
    partner requirements, incentives and certification levels. Ensure the
    program readiness considering all aspects: tools, people,
    communications, policies, processes and training.

  • Define Local Partner Policies, Processes and Controls.

  • Define the Certification and Training Program schedule with other Dell areas like Marketing, Channel Sales and Services.

  • Define
    and implement the different Channel Programs for each country/region
    including: Requirements, Incentives, the number and coverage of
    certified partners per geography, segment, industry, etc.

  • Execute and follow up the partner certification program

  • Coordinate with Dell Services the Certification for Services

  • Lead the Regional Channel Marketing initiatives (events, channel recruiting, channel training)

  • Global/Regional Channels Managers

  • Global/Regional Services Delivery and Services Sales Managers

  • Managers and Directors of Global Channel IT, finance, legal and marketing.

  • Sales Directors and Managers of Direct Sales Organization.

  • Account Executives of the different segments and Channel Account Executives.

  • Regional management of Ecosystem Partners (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)

  • Partners and Channels in each country

  • Able to work independently and recommend actions with minimum guidance. Minimal supervision required by direct manager.

  • Projects are increasingly inter-related across the segment, with responsibility for multiple programs.

  • Strategic impact in designing programs that span multiple segments.

  • Provides thought leadership on uncertain, unique issues/problems.

  • Projects are highly interdependent, optimizing multiple priorities across segments.

  • High strategic impact in setting overall strategy for how programs are used to drive business.
