Partner Management Consultant


A C2 level hire is targeted for this role. 

 

The
Partner Management Consultant (an individual Contributor role) will lie
within the Dell Global Services Delivery (GSD) with main focus around
leading initiatives and development of key processes that will reduce costs, increase Customer Experience through a Holistic, Customer Focused end to end partner management process.

 

The
position will be responsible for driving the implementation of our GSD
strategy.  Responsibility will be to meet the strategy goals, maintain
or improve CE, decrease costs by 20% with 25% stretch, reduction of
partners in line with our offering roadmap, and direct 80% spend to a
limited list of key partners.  High pressure environment where every
detail counts and responsiveness is an absolute necessity.  This role
will require best practice globally.  Additionally, it is expected that
candidates have experience with working on multiple high visibility
projects concurrently.  Candidate must be capable of working in a very
fast paced energetic team environment.  There will be some travel
involved ~20%.



Qualifications


Work jointly with procurement and the Partner Manager to execute on the following processes:


  • Partner Evaluation process

  • QBR process - Close CE loop -feedback ties back to QBR, which ties back to partner picker

  • Internet Negotiation process

  • Partner T&E Program - Partner Expenses controlled through Dell Travel Tool


Point
of contact for Segment and Solution team with respect to non preferred
exception process and re-vamp of partner justification form. 
Development of the internal partner feedback survey including
development of scoring through best practice with partners, PM
Community of practice, and other BPI contacts.  Resource will be
expected to attend the BPI CE Survey Stats class to ensure they are set
for success.


  • Lead
    the roll out of the V2 of Partner Picker to automate partner feedback
    survey forms and partner capabilities surveys with goal to increase
    partner survey response rates.

  •  Conduct daily activities within partner picker tool to update capabilities, contacts, and feedback from other LOB’s.

  • Define, roll-out, maintain and lead business process rules and documentation for on boarding existing and current partners.

    • Development of training materials which includes working with PE’s and Regional Managers for offering materials. 

    • Manage partner attendance

    • Track and understand expense patterns vs. overall budget

    • Periodically assist management in review of on boarding program and supporting initiatives.



  • Assist
    with implementation to bridge the gap to ensure that the “Drive to 95”
    CE initiative is accomplished for partner management with a focus on
    Medium Business.  This also entails lead role for partner management on
    the CE Strike Force.

  • Joint accountability with Partner Manager to ensure that 80% spend is directed to our preferred strategic partners.   .

  • Interact with partners and ensure compliance with partner contracts and pricing agreements.  

  • Responsible for Partner Management Reporting Metrics to PS leadership.

    • Development
      of partner scorecard that reports on partner spend, partner assignment
      to requests by skill, location, offering, vertical, and segment.
