Responsibilities

* To be responsible of the tax compliance of the GE companies within the Energy business, including the review of the preparation of all the tax returns and calculations to be performed by the TAX COE

* The develop tax planning strategies for the Energy business

* To develop and manage good relationships with the financial people of the Energy businesses

* To manage and solve tax related items regarding day-to-day activities of the Energy businesses in conjunction with corporate tax team

* To develop and manage good relationships with the auditors of the companies

* To avoid and prevent tax contingencies within the Energy business

* Oversee of the international tax compliance of the Energy businesses

* Manage the following regions: Mexico; Puerto Rico and Central America

Qualifications

* BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

* 7-12 years of tax experience

* CPA certified or MBA

* Experience of audit & tax process, ability to work with external auditors and tax advisors

* Strong technical tax knowledge

* Strong technical international tax knowledge

* Strong knowledge of tax Compliance issues, including all regulatory compliance environment

* Strong analytical and influencing skills, detail oriented, independent thinking and decision-making abilities

* Communication skills / bilingual (English/Spanish)

* Experience leading & managing a team


Desired

* General knowledge of US tax principles

* Energetic and flexible - capable to meet all deadlines and ad-hoc requests

* Project management / Execution skills
