Number one provider of equity, fixed income, and hedge fund indices, and equity portfolio analysis tools is searching for a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator, to be based in its new office in Monterrey, Mexico.
The role will support and manage technology needs for Business, Finance, Information Technology and Operations staff located in Monterrey and the United States. The nature of the work is technical and business oriented, providing support to the users, as well as day-to-day administration of remote and local infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a high level of customer service skills and display an eagerness to apply technology to drive this growing business forward.
This position will work as part of a global infrastructure team and report to the Americas West Data Center Manager, located in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Unix and Linux system administration
• Remote device and environmental management of data center infrastructure located in US, Europe and Asia
• Travel periodically to US datacenters for installations, routine maintenance and upgrades
• Provide backup to individual performing Network Administration

Experience

• 7+ years of UNIX system administration
• Red Hat Linux Enterprise 3.X and higher
• Sun Solaris (2.6 to 10) and Sun SPARC Hardware (Sun Fires and Enterprise Series)
• Veritas file system, Veritas and RedHat clustering solutions
• Apache, Tomcat
• SAN and NAS; NetApp Filers; Hitachi, EMC
• Veritas Netbackup or IBM Tape backup
• IBM Tape Library/Jukebox solutions
• Sendmail, TCP/IP, DNS,NFS, NIS, LDAP, MIT Kerberos, Shell & Perl scripting, SNMP, and SMTP
• Enterprise Monitoring Systems: EMC Smarts, NetCool, Nagios , and MRTG
• Altiris server management
• Perforce SCM
• Dell PowerEdge and HP/Compaq Proliant servers
• Network topologies, BGP, EIGRP peers & route topology, CISCO routing/switching and IOS
• CISCO routers, CISCO switches, CISCO PIX and Juniper Netscreen
