Number one provider of equity, fixed income, and hedge fund indices, and equity portfolio analysis tools is searching for an IT Infrastructure Support person for its new office in Monterrey, Mexico.
The role will support and manage technology needs for Business, Finance, Information and Operations staff. The nature of the work is technical and business oriented, providing support to the users, as well as day-to-day administration of local infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a high level of customer service skills and display an eagerness to apply technology to drive this growing business forward. The technology that will be supported includes PC desktops and servers, data and voice communications and computer room infrastructure.
This position will work as part of a global infrastructure team and report to the Head of IT Infrastructure for Americas East, based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Helpdesk support, user, group administration and file, folder access management.
• Maintenance of the PC desktop and laptop environment, software installation, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance of the PC server environment, including administration and troubleshooting, storage management,
backups, fallback testing, system documentation and implementation of hardware/software upgrades.
• Telecommunications such as network devices, telephone, fax, blackberry and other peripheral device installation,
maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Liaison with the New York and Berkeley, California support teams to test and implement new systems,
applications or changes to the environment. This person will manage desktop and client product rollouts.

Experience:

• Five or more years experience of user support in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Windows XP & Vista, Microsoft Office & Outlook 2003 & 2007
• Windows 2003 server environment and Active Directory Services
• Windows patch management and Altiris desktop build systems
• Citrix and terminal server technology
• Scripting and application packaging using Microsoft SMS Installer
• Veritas NetBackup; RedHat; Linux
• Experience with tape rotation and off-site back-up process and procedure
• Networking and TCP/IP fundamentals
• HP, Dell, IBM desktops & laptops; Compaq & Dell servers; Cisco devices
• Network Appliance and CIFS file system
• HP printers; Blackberry devices
