This position provides a support role to the quality assurance processes with an emphasis on managing internal & external supplier relationships with manufacturers of complex components and assemblies.



* Experience with formal quality system assessments and part qualifications.

* Basic knowledge of applicable engineering discipline (i.e. Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) and its applicability to the manufacturing environment.

* Systems thinking aptitude - able to determine the impact of actions on business.

* Ability to document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies and/or systems consistent with quality policies and procedures.



Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or Product Development).

* Minimum of 2+ year(s) of experience in a Quality role.

* Good Bi-lingual communication skill required.


Desired

* Knowledge of Kaizen, and ability to recognize the need to initiate an event internally, or at our suppliers.

* Knowledge of practical manufacturing techniques, quality assurance requirements and all factors affecting product/program costs.

* Business Acumen. General: Transportation is a global technology.

*Six Sigma Green belt certification (GE employees only).
