Responsibilities

* Responsible for leading an Underwriting team in the Structured, Aircraft and Portfolio Acquisition team.* Analyze financial statements and qualitative information of prospective customers to design the adequate structure of the transaction, detecting potential risks and according to the company's particular industry and financial situation, also supporting team.* Responsible for reviewing PICs by: 1) inputting financial information into risk grading systems, 2) adequate deal structure and 3) identifying key issues.* Lead and design diligence process involving all areas (customer, origination, audit, appraisal, environmental, portfolio management, legal, operations and collections) involved in the credit approval process.* Ability to present the transactions to the credit committee in order to obtain approval, handling any objections whenever they arise.* Lead/Manage customer relationships effectively during the underwriting process and keep Origination and Risk Team appropriately involved as needed.* Follow KYC procedures (credit bureau search, external agency reports, black list search, etc.) and obtain adequate documentation of searches, leading the team based on own behavior.* Coordinate the production of legal documentation individually or supervising direct reports. Review all deal documentation to ensure that the transactions and their collateral/guarantees are adequately structured and perfected, that the conditions for approvals were included. Negotiate documents with customers and make changes to the structure/documents as needed, document changes and obtain adequate.* Prepare own credit approval documents, and also review the underwriter's credit approval documents ensuring that the whole document is consistent in the numbers presented, references properly stated so that there is a strong rationale for credit recommendations.



Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree & MBA/Masters in Finance Required, 5+ years of credit experience.

* Previous Commercial Lending Experience required

* Fully bilingual English / Spanish

* Strong interpersonal, team building and negotiation skills

* Strong organizational skills

* Strong verbal and written communication skills / Highly developed presentation skills

* Excellent overall analytical skills / Outstanding Financial Analysis Skills

* Strong Mexican/US Legal-Framework knowledge

* Demonstrated Leadership Skills

* Customer service attitude

* Proven Existing Lending-Authority is a plus

* Bi-cultural is a plus
