Responsibilities
- Work as a key member of the region commercial team in support of achieving the region's orders, sales, and margin targets for the segment.
- Primary responsibilities include screening and bounding of contractual sales opportunities, formulating pricing strategies, proposal development, opportunity forecasting, and managing legal risk and contract evaluation. The Commercial Manager will be the fourth-highest level of delegation of authority in the region.
- Ensure process consistency across the Core portfolio with special emphasis on Policy 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 requirements and guidelines.
- Support Gas platform strategy and employ consistent deal review processes with the Region Sales team and local risk teams.
- Continuously identify and refine the proposal processes across the Core business, with special emphasis on Lean opportunities for improvement and waste reduction.
- Support regional platform operating metrics, centered on offerings and individual productivity, to promote proposal throughput, yield, cost, and efficiency.
- Ensure process adherence to all government contracting requirements.
- Enforce order-booking requirements and drive an improved OTR turnover process to ensure proper control of contract flow-down requirements.
- Support commercial operations for the combined Transactional and Contractual organizations, utilizing all associated ITO tools.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS
*3-5 years Commercial or Sales experience.
*Proven track record of timely deal closures.
*Demonstrated clear thinking with effective communication at all levels.
*Willingness to travel 20% of time.
*Understanding of Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine Technology
*Capable of working in global team.
*GB or BB Certification (GE employees only).
*Demonstrated customer Interface and Negotiation skills.
*100% fluent in English & Spanish; written and spoken.
Desired
*BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent.
*In-depth knowledge and experience negotiating from ES standard contracts (i.e.. Form 33C, ES104 and/or PUP7).
*Knowledge of standard ES Commercial Operations procedures and expectations.
*High proficiency in learning and mastering of use of software applications and sales tools.
*Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Knowledge of Industrial, IPP, Utility, and Oil & Gas power industries.
*Knowledge of Customer Financial Drivers.
*Proven skills in coordination of multiple resources and persuasive presentation.
*Familiar with cash flow modeling and contractual payment structures.
