Responsibilities

Configuration Management

* Champion the change control process within the business.

* Change Implementation Board administration

* Maintenance of CTQ flowdowns

* Monitor product quality (internal and external) and define improvement projects.



Project Scoping (C-level programs)

* Work with supply chain and marketing to identify opportunities for PCTO and other improvement projects.

* Create project scoping files.

* Revise product technical specifications when needed.



RTP Support

* Non-systemic problem resolution.

* Address run-the-plant requests.

* Proposal support when needed by the requisition engineering team.

* Out-of-scope requisition support when needed by the requisition engineering team.



* Product Ownership/Core Knowledge Retention and Mentoring

* Maintain technical expertise in our products and in the processes, applications and systems out products are used in.

* Participation in standards technical committees and working groups (e.g. NEMA, IEEE, API, and other organizations' committees.)

* Face-to-face customer interaction.

* A-course and B-course lecturing.

* Provide engineering support to other system engineers, when needed.

* Create, revise, review design guides and design standards.

* Create, revise, review Engineering Test Plans.

* Participation in EMDS symposium.

* Write technical papers, attend technical/trade conferences.

* Co-op/EEDP mentoring.

* Execution of projects.

Qualifications

* Electrical or mechanical engineer with at least ten years' experience designing rotating electrical machines or associated equipment.

* Significant industrial motor product and system knowledge and knowledge of industrial customers' processes and applications.

* Demonstrated ability and inclination towards mentoring and coaching.

* Demonstrated ability and inclination towards working in a boundaryless way to support the business's goals.
