Job Description


Information Services Project Administrator


Basic Function


Participate in assigned technical projects, or projects in support of a technical function, as part of the project team which may include tracking project activity, creating and maintaining project plan, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, risk assessments, project documentation, etc.; participate in activities involved in testing, implementation, and establishing on-going support for technical projects or project tasks ensuring adherence to department policies and procedures; as required, establish and maintain a professional relationship with various vendors and suppliers; provide support or participate in activities involved in quality resolution of issues related to assigned technical projects and/or project tasks, troubleshooting to resolve problems; follow problems through to completion, and communicating resolution results

  • Project planning, estimating and scheduling methods

  • Fundamentals of technical testing

  • Principles of logic as applied to analysis

  • Report preparation methods and techniques

  • Corporate and departmental operating policies and procedures

  • Principles and practices of customer service

  • Provide leadership to motivate and coordinate the activities of project team members

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Maintain appropriate records and compile information for reports

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, business administration, or related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

  • Minimum of two years project administration experience required on small to medium-sized projects with an emphasis on technical capabilities preferred

  • Suite of office software packages
