Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide Expertise and Knowledge in the EDI file generation.

  • Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Coordinate and prioritize all escalated activities, including testing, project management and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.

  • Available to provide off hour support as required

  • Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support enterprise EDI system.

  • Conduct self-directed investigations into data irregularities, and proactively identify and resolve potential system problems

  • Work with internal customers and other team members to prioritize new requests and changes.

  • Resolve conflicts and trace errors


 Experience     



  • Experience working with EDI file generation and delivery using Gentran (both client and server side) is a must (1 to 4 years preferred).

  • A good understanding of the EDI X12 standards (810 and 811 formats) is a must.

  • Exposure to or prior experience working in a Telecom environment is a plus.

  • Experience working with TCC standard of EDI is a plus.

  • Experience working with Unix using command line and shell scripting is preferable.

  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and basic SQL is desirable. 


Education



  • Bachelor's degree (In Information Technology - Computer Science related field preferred) or equivalent work experience
