Profile
Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Debug software products through the use of systematic tests. Develop and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years experience as a QA Analyst
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Experience with defect tracking systems
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans under time pressures
- Informix, Oracle, and SQL Server Databases
- Crystal Reports
- Billing Systems
- Unix, Linux, Windows OS Family
- Application logic and systems logic experience a must
- Introduction to formal deliverable reviews.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, internet technologies, real play or windows media, RDBMS(Oracle or Informix)
- 3 years experience with Mercury's suite of testing tools(WinRunner, TestDirector and LoadRunner)
- 3 years experience with NT administration
- 3 years experience with Tomcat/Apache
- 3 years experience with Java
- 3 years experience in Networking (Routers, Switches, topologies, etc)
- Experience with storage networking and/or communications protocols, especially TCP/IP
- Strong understanding of Internet technologies (Firewall, SMTP, Proxy, SSL, APIs)
Problem Solving
Responds to dynamic changes in priorities and/or directives determining course of action, which will minimize impact on development activities and deployment schedules with project leaders, and communicates any schedule variances to management and clients. Assessment of the impact of changes is frequently required.
Establishes a sense of urgency and provides guiding vision toward successful accomplishment of business objectives and implementation of necessary changes for technology and application area. Negotiates with business partners on scheduling of changes and delivery dates.
Manages internal and external client expectations through direct contact, conference calls, steering groups, project status reviews, plan reviews and presentations, client interviews and consultation meetings, and written reports and correspondence.
