REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Provides an advanced level of technical support for facility services including
hardware planning, power, cooling and electric equipment requirements within a
raised floor and/or computer room environment.

Engages in all manner of vendor coordination efforts related to hardware
installations.

Provides comprehensive technical support efforts during the monitoring and
problem resolution of power/back-up power systems.

Coordinates and oversees the troubleshooting and diagnoses of cases of cooling,
power and electric equipment difficulties/issues.

Schedules facility/hardware changes through change control process and
coordinates with impacted technical support and other personnel.

Reviews findings with staff and coordinates response/action with all levels of
staff during facility/hardware planning meetings.

Maintains technical documentation, diagrams and information related to
facilities equipment and hardware.

Regularly provides task/project leadership to departmental staff regarding
installation scheduling, vendor activity and applicable equipment
changes/updates.


Education and Typical Years of Experience: High school or GED or equivalent plus
specialized vocational training or equivalent experience.

6+ years of related facilities planning experience encompassing mechanical,
power and cooling systems. (preferably with HVAC and other mechanical operating
systems).

Basic PC literacy.
