Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and transaction support to the Sales and Risk areas, as well as to other functional areas of the Company in Mexico, in any type of financing transactions, either booked locally or cross border. Participate in workouts related to any such financing transactions.



The Legal Specialist is responsible for participating in the design and implementation of legal strategies, management of litigation, and the legal review and negotiation of contracts, agreements and instruments.



1. Provide legal advice and support to the Sales and Risk areas, as well as to the other functional areas of the Company, including without limitation: (a) The preparation, review and negotiation of financing contracts (loans and leases) and agreements, as well as collateral agreements and guaranties; (b) The issue of internal legal opinions and/or the procurement of legal opinions from outside counsel; (c) The interpretation of the law; and (d) The legal training to the business and functional areas of the Company.

2. Eventually, coordinate activities with outside counsel and notaries/public brokers, serving as a liaison between outside counsel and notaries/public brokers and the Sales, Risks and other functional areas of the Company.

3. Define, along with the Legal Counsel for Aircraft and Structured Finance Flow, the strategies in respect of litigation initiated by or against the Company, coordinating activities and actions with outside litigation counsel.

4. Evaluate legal risks affecting the Company, taking actions in such regard.

5. Participate in lean of processes, as well as in any other simplification and/or growth projects.



Qualifications

* Licensed attorney holding a Law degree from a renowned University in Mexico.

* At least 2-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney involved in corporate, banking, contracts and/or litigation matters and of, at least, 5 years of experience in law matters in general (may be combined as a licensed attorney and a legal trainee).

* The candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills, and good judgment. A solid academic background and previous work experience is required. The candidate has to be continuously demonstrating a proactive and an ingenious attitude in the solution of multiple and complex problems. The candidate has to be an open, committed and independent person (edge and drive). It is essential that the candidate is an ethical person, both professionally and personally. The candidate has to show the ability to work in teams and under constant pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to manage and coordinate several difficult tasks at one time; Able to respond to operational requirements on a timely basis, including outside of normal working hours and weekends as required.



English as second language 100% fluent (written and spoken).
