Responsibilities

*In conjunction with in-country managers, develop and continuously monitor compliance risks action plans and overall strategies to grow while ensuring compliance risks are limited

*Review and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and training to develop a strong compliance Prevention environment with particular emphasis on Anti Money Laundering

*Review and enhance any existing Compliance risk management system to ensure strong law monitoring control, detection metrics and reporting mechanisms to GE Money Global senior leadership

*Develop strong communication plan with in-country Compliance team members, Legal Counsel and business leaders in the various countries within Latin America

*Lead Compliance Latin American team with presence in 11 countries in Latin America

*Ensure that business processes are being proactively monitored, reviewed and analyzed for existing or potential compliance violations and concerns

*Ensure corrective action to address compliance violations and concerns are being proactively and continuously addressed

*Provide leadership, coaching and continuous feedback to all the in-country compliance resources

*Provide coordination effort within Latin America to obtain and share key Compliance best practices

*Coordinate with compliance team peers within the GE Money Global team to solve problems

*Design strategic Compliance program for the region and within the JV's contribute to reduce cultural gaps

*Responsible for management and development of the Compliance function in Latin America

*Drive Session D process for Latin America and ensure follow up on dentified key risk areas

*Lead ,support and monitor implementation of key Global GE Money Compliance projects

*Lead Compliance Due Diligence in new acquisitions and Compliance integration of new businesses

*Follow up on major Compliance issues in Latin America

*Interact with other regions on best practice sharing, people development and Corporate initiatives



Qualifications

*10+ years relevant in-house legal or senior compliance experience. CAS experience is a plus.

*Strong level of anti-money laundering knowledge/experience.

*Strong background in consumer finance/consumer credit.

*Fluent Spanish speaking skills; excellent working knowledge of the Latin American culture.

*Strong English language skills.

*Proven ability in developing and implementing strategies to accomplish business goals.

*High-energy, self-motivated, confident leader willing to take on responsibilities across geographic and business boundaries.

*Ability to take on a demanding international travel.

*Strong project management skills.

*Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
