Position based in Mexico City, Mexico.

Do words come easily to you? Do you have a knack for phrasing things "just right"? Are you too clever for your own good? Do you think you can write advertising copy? Google is looking for an excellent writer to "Maximize" the performance of campaigns that run on the Google site. You must be a careful reader and a persuasive, inventive writer. Most importantly: you must be an excellent communicator, sensitive to language, and comfortable composing in language on demand.

Google's advertising program sells highly-targeted text ads that deliver performance up to 5x industry average for traditional banners. The Maximizers write and rewrite ad copy to improve performance. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential because the Maximizer works closely with our Sales team and works directly with clients to coordinate and execute creative optimization of campaigns. The Maximizer must be analytical and creative and get results.

Responsibilities:

Promote revenue growth.

Work collaboratively with pod to grow revenue with new and existing vertical customers.

Maximization of online advertising accounts.

Build relevant, researched keyword lists and groupings and create/copyedit text for client advertising campaigns, including pre-maximizations for new clients.

Develop in-depth knowledge of specific markets and verticals.

Use Google's advertiser products to analyze and optimize client campaigns; develop creative up-selling concepts.

Lead efforts to improve ad relevancy and present improvements to customers.

Strategic consultancy on client potential, enhance sales activities from an expert perspective.

Work directly with advertisers to implement editorial and quality guidelines; share editorial expertise with direct clients and agencies.

Cross-vertical and cross-Latin America networking and sharing of best practices.

Co-operate with Sales and Client Service to develop named account lists.

Contribute editorial and writing skills to produce communication material, case studies, house ads, etc.; provide research and guidance e.g. on best-practice creative writing.

Requirements:

University Degree from a leading university or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience strongly preferred.

Experience with a creative agency or media organization.

Strong writing and communication experience.

Direct Marketing experience preferred.

Fluent in Spanish and English required.
