Responsibilities

Information Compliance:

* Work closely with Local Management and Global Information Compliance Leader to support implementation and ensure execution of Information Management strategies regarding creation, capture, management, storage, preservation and disposal of records in Mexico

* After consultation with Unit's General Counsel, Global Information Compliance leader and Global Compliance Counsel will create and maintain local governance models, procedures, and policies for records management & document management.

* Ensure local audits of compliance with policies and guidelines and gap analyses between current capabilities and desired end state

* Provide assistance to create roadmaps and strategic plans to reach defined end state.

* Ensure employees receive periodic training regarding policies, guidelines and their obligations hereunder

* Assist functions in data integrity activities, IT security reviews and 3rd party selection.

* Ensure compliance with the GE Data Classification Guidelines, GE Privacy Policies, GE Capital Instruction No. 46.71 (Safekeeping of Securities) and other applicable GE policies.



General Compliance:

* Monitor adherence to policies and procedures in the area of Information Management Compliance through appropriate data collection and reporting methodology

* Identify and resolve compliance related procedural issues and deficiencies

* Inform local management and P&L Compliance Officers of issues and deficiencies through quarterly compliance meetings or more frequently, as needed or requested

* Participate in compliance training and education to enhance skills and knowledge



Qualifications

* English fluency

* Minimum 3 years Records Management, Information Management or Knowledge Management experience

1) Experience with ECM (Enterprise Content Management) solutions (Livelink, Documentum)

* Project management skills



* Travel up to 10%

* Willingness to take additional training within 6-12 months as identified


Desired

* Legal/Compliance experience or knowledge a plus

* Commercial Real Estate experience a plus.

* Green Belt trained. If not, must complete Green Belt training and certification within 12 months in this position

* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with cross functional teams, management and front line associates

* Organization skills essential, operations experience a plus

* Good written and oral communication skills

* Self motivated with high energy and personal integrity

* Problem resolution, issue sensitivity and strong facilitation skills

* Approachable, respected and accessible to all employees

* Ability to handle matters discretely and confidentially
