This mid-level technical support expert is a highly qualified individual contributor who is able to support a global SAP environment spanning across an extensive Solaris landscape in data center operation. Education and Typical Years of Experience:Bachelorâ€TMs degree in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology, and 3+ years of job-related experience and a minimum of 2 years Basis Admin experience. Completion of SAP ECC Basis Administration Training is preferred. Specific Requirements:SAP Skills
1) Install/Upgrade of SAP R/3 and ECC components including NetWeaver, SAP kernel, LSO, Portal, BI and XI.
2) Configure and maintain SAP Correction and Transport Management system
3) SAP system and client copy, client export and client import
4) SAP security implementation & mgmt including user ids, authorizations, profiles and roles
5) SAP CCMS, Operation mode, Background jobs and printing and spool management
6) Solution Manager â€" EWA, Central Admin and CUA knowledge
7) SAP OSS logons and X.25 connection support
8) Apply patches/notes and support packs
9) Setting up operation modes
10) System Migration

Database Skills specific to SAP
1) Base understanding of SAP database backup and recovery strategies
2) Experience monitoring SAP tablespaces, adding table extents and enlarging tablespaces
3) Base understanding of SAP table and tablespace reorganization processes
4) Understanding of database export and import process
5) Ability to identify database tuning opportunities
6) Base understanding of overall database administration tasks

Operating System Skills
1) Base understanding of Solaris unix operating system including filesystems, swap space, user, group and file permissions, system paremeters, and backup / recovery strategies
2) Experience with basic unix commands such as cd, vi, ls, ftp, cp, df, chmod, and chgrp.
3) Base understanding of how to assess OS system security and protect critical SAP files
4) Experience monitoring key SAP processes
5) Develop and maintain necessary scripts to automate periodic system tasks.

Other skills required:
1. Excellent Verbal and Written English Communications

Travel - Visa to travel/work in US. Travel with extended periods away from home is required.
