InterCall is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Systems Technician. Responsibilities for the position include providing assistance to customers in need to resolve problems with their computer systems by answering service requests; coordinate installs, upgrades, configure hardware/software and maintains corporate PCs and peripherals; troubleshoot PC/peripheral problems, delegate service requests to Technician Service Technicians according to schedules and locations; perform daily equipment checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly; monitor various system functions and activities.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • LAN/server administration skills

  • Principles and practices of customer service

  • Corporate and departmental operating policies and procedures

  • Basic report preparation methods

  • Basic telecom support procedures

  • Ability to provide high levels of customer satisfaction by utilizing excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently in the absence of immediate supervision

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Good time management skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Manage multiple, concurrent tasks


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma required. Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

  • Two years experience in a technical support services or customer service environment required.

  • One year experience in a windows-based environment preferred. Minimum of one year of lead experience preferred.

  • Avaya telecom hardware/software

  • IBM compatible PC hardware

  • Windows operating systems including Windows 2000, NT or XP

  • DOS

  • Mainframe and PC/LAN environments

  • Citirix

  • Windows based server hardware/software

  • Suite of office software packages

  • MCSE certification preferred

  • Avaya certification a plus
