The Senior Software Test Automator (SSTA) has comprehensive knowledge of and can apply different testing types (white box, black box, regression, requirements, etc.), focus testing areas (unit, functional, system, customer/user acceptance) test implementations (manual, automated, and performance), and testing practices and methodologies throughout the whole software / infrastructure development and production support processes. The SSTA will concentrate on validation of developed application code on the right side of the Quality "V" model. The SSTA is capable of leading the whole test automation effort to validate the quality of a software product (planning, designing and implementation of testing) and/or hardware upgrade. The SSTA will create and administer training courses relating to test automation. The SSTA will mentor and assist in establishing objectives for Software Test Automators. Education and Typical Years of Experience:Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent expertise

A minimum 5 to 7 years demonstrated experience in Automation Testing and testing on large projects

Ability to plan and organize the work so that it is efficient and effective and allows service to be delivered promptly and reliably.
Ability to identify opportunities and develop new ideas that will lead to improvements.
Analyze project needs and ensure that test automation criteria are established and test data is made available per requirements.
Ability to analyze a complex problem and identify potential solutions by exploring and analyzing diverse alternatives, including, where applicable, risks and potential business impact.
Strong knowledge of QuickTestPro
Investigate, evaluate and recommend additional tools that support automation initiatives.
Create automation proof of concepts for projects
Strong knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies
Strong knowledge of the development and production support processes
Strong knowledge of quality practices and testing tools
Strong knowledge of quality process creation and implementation
Strong knowledge of business functions and business operations
Strong knowledge of different types, focus areas and implementations of testing
Strong knowledge of Mercury Quality Center
General knowledge of HR processes
General knowledge of SAP and/or Peoplesoft a plus
Thorough knowledge of automated testing tools
Knowledge of IT architectures and technical standards
Excellent negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills
Specific Requirements:1) Acts as a consultant to applications groups or infrastructure departments, and the organization on testing issues throughout the development and production support processes to:

2) Applies testing knowledge and experience to any stage of a project.
3) Leads testing efforts on multiple projects and is a testing consultant for a market or the organization.
4) Leads, mentors, and teaches all levels of Software Test Analysts, Project Managers, and other designated personnel on testing practices, processes and procedures.
5) Validate Test Environment Readiness for functional/non-functional test needs
6) Responsible for establishing standard procedures for manual and automated test execution, results analysis and risk escalation
