The Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing business requests and for consulting with the business regarding front-end application changes and product implementations. The analyst translates the business requirements into technical specifications and updates the front end parameter systems to apply required changes to the various front end applications. The analyst is responsible for coordinating the promotion of the chnages through all stages of testing and production.The analyst verifies the accuracy of the updates by preparing and executing detailed test plans for AIS/ web and IVR applications. The analyst must actively participate in project meetings, monitor and manage project deliverables and interact with other groups including programmers, testers, operational counterparts and peers. The analyst must be able to troubleshoot and resolve production issues and must be able to consult with the business teams regarding DC/HW front end products. The DC/HW analyst periodicallyacts as liason between DC/HW analyst group and Configuration Management on production move night (outside normal business hours) for 4 - 8 prod moves a year. The analyst participates in group training and in special projects as required.  

Education and Typical Years of Experience:

1-3 years as business analyst or comparable experience. Experience with defined contribution plans/health & welfare plans or experience working on voice(DC specific) or web applications is desirable.
*college graduate (HR or Business) or comparable business experience
 

Specific Requirements:

A candidate for the DC/HW Analyst position should possess:
*good verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
*strong analytical skills. Candidate should have a knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and tools associated with analyzing a variety of work processes.
*experience in writing functional/technical specifications
*good organizational and self-management skills

·*understanding of databases•

*working knowledge of SQL (able to write query/update/insert/delete statements as well as ability to interprete SQL programming code)

· Knowledge of the Relation Databases(Sybase).

*understanding of defined contribution plan rules/health&welfare plan rules and processes.
*good interpersonal skills.
*ability to work extended hours when required (to cover business needs)
*good technical skills with emphasis on IVR(DC specific) and web applications
*good knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications
