Description:

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Knowledge of and experience in the following environments and tools is desired:

* minimum of two years experience as a qa analyst.
* demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle.
* demonstrated ability to develop and execute project plans under time pressures.
* demonstrated success in a collaborative cross-functional role in a fast paced organization.
* ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
* self motivated, able to work with little guidance.
* experience with defect tracking systems.
* experience with automated testing tools.
* experience with informix, oracle, and/or sql server databases.
* experience with unix or linux and windows os family.
* experience solving customer problems with little information.
* experience with storage networking and/or communications protocols, especially tcp/ip.
* application logic and systems logic experience is a must.
* introduction to formal deliverable reviews.
* 3 years experience with mercury?s topaz/business availability center.
* 3-5 years experience with mercury?s loadrunner.
* 3 years experience with microsoft office.
* 3 years experience with internet technologies.
* proven track record with support responsibilities.
* ability to work in a team environment.

knowledge of and experience in the following environments and tools would be a
plus:

* experience working in a bea, websphere, or tomcat/apache/java struts environment.
* experience as a development lead, project manager or application support analyst.
* experience in networking (routers, switches, topologies, etc.).
* informix, oracle, and sql server databases certifications.
* telecommunications experience.
* network/server administration.

Preferred background would consist of the equivalent in experience and training of a four year degree in a computer science related curriculum with extensive experience in development and enhancement of business applications to facilitate joint applications design and development for conferencing application solutions.
