Responsibilities *Maintain broad awareness and follow-up of technical efforts within the work group in order to assure technical excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources and consistency of methods across programs. *Ensure procedures are established and adhered to which maintain high quality Engineering and Drafting conforming to Engineering Standards, Design Practices, and applicable Operating Procedures. *Lead Gas Turbines, Wind Energy and ASE efforts in design, test and manufacturing technology, quality and productivity. *Identify and promote the development of improved processes related to design, analysis, manufacturing, quality and productivity for Gas, Wind & ASE. *Establish and monitor programs, plans and budgets to assure business needs and customer satisfaction. *Ensure employees receive the training and guidance needed to broaden responsibilities and improve their technical contribution *Establish and communicate work group goals that meet the needs of Gas, Wind & ASE. *Provide leadership, administrative management for assigned personnel, defining their roles and responsibilities in a clear and concise manner. Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning. Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counseling. *Represent and promote department compliance activities as a member of CIAT's Management Staff. Serve as focal point for all compliance issues within the Department. *Assure communication of technical and business information between organizations and within the work group. Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource and personnel issues. *Engineering and Drafting Standards and specifications consistent with the needs, policies and practices of GE *Provide leadership in furthering digitization process and programs. Qualifications .Two years minimum at a leadership role. .Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering plus 5 to 10 years of experience in related field. .Excellent English language skills Verbal and Written. .Green Belt Certified Desired Six Sigma Black Belt desirable. Advanced Engineering Degree (Masters or PhD).
